Rainy Days

Posted on June 2nd, 2021 by Elizabeth Gallo

It's June which means the summer is nearly upon us! This week we have really been feeling the effects of the rains of the past few days both in celebration and frustration. The rains have helped many of our young plants along and as a result we have an abundance of certain crops such as peppers and zucchini. Crops such as the cherry tomatoes and greens that were suffering from the dry period are now bouncing back to life and resuming normal levels of production. With the goodness of rain also comes some negative side effects such as greater weed pressure. This week we have been working hard to keep our fields weed free while also continuing to plan and plant for the rest of the season.

We hope everyone has a great start to the month and we look forward to sharing our produce with you this weekend! Make sure to stop by the Farm Tienda on Saturday to pick up any extra veggies and fruits you may need for the week we'll be around from 11-3.
