Rainy blessings

Posted on November 11th, 2020 by Nate Olive

We have had some serious rainfall and many crops (and weeds) are loving it. This week we have a lot to share in between our main seasons so we hope you can take advantage for your home kitchen this week straight from the farm. There are not many shares available this week so take action soon if you want a box of fresh local organic produce this week.

Seasoning peppers are just divine this week, and full of non hot flavor. Bell peppers are also producing steadily.  Lettuce is at its most prime state this week. Cherry tomatoes and basil are popping off. Sweet coconut water and jelly are available with our whole nuts that need a few chops of the machete to get to the good stuff. Our sweet carambola is in a class of its own and currently delivering the most excellent fruits ready for juicing, adding on the edge of a rum drink, or eating whole (they are said to relieve stress).

Come see us at our Farm Tienda on Saturday and Wednesdays for more crop options and tasty treats from Misfit Island Munchies:)

Thanks for your support and happy eating,

Nate and the Farm Crew
