Pop up Farm Shares this week!

Posted on November 4th, 2020 by Nate Olive

We are excited to be back in our Farm Share program with a pop up offering this week. While we are busy planting a heavy set of crops for our upcoming winter season, we have much to share out of our organic fields for you this week. They just keep producing, and we want to share it with you!

We have some amazing sweet lettuce heads available, a huge amount of first class sweet and juicy carambola, crunchy bell peppers, slicer cucumbers, and choice seasoning peppers. There are also limited amounts of watermelon, cherry tomatoes, baby arugula, several kinds of culinary basil, many other herbs such as local celery, oregano, thyme, lemongrass, and much more.

We have been blessed with easy rains and weather that is settling out and providing us optimal growing conditions, so the plants are thriving all over the farm. The weeds are another story, so we have been diligently pulling them and adding hay and woodchip mulch to keep things under control and thriving.

Please check out a box of the only certified organic produce on island this week. Remember to visit our Farm Tienda on Mahogany Road on Wednesdays and Saturdays for many other crops and tasty treats from Island Misfit Munchies.

We thank our Farm Share hosts at Leatherback Brewing Company for hosting this pop up as well as Little La Grange Farm as they are big supporters of locally produced crops. We are also excited for a reason this week to pick up some of their tasty pizzas for the farm crew. Thanks for showing your support to our hosts.

Please enjoy this weeks share and get ready for a banging Winter season coming in early January.  Auto renews will happen in a few weeks so get ready for a new year of organic produce for your kitchen.

In wonder and excitement,

Nate & the Farm Crew
