Farm Happenings for November 2, 2023

Posted on October 26th, 2023 by Steve Young

I'll be cutting romaine lettuce from the greenhouse and putting it onto this weeks farm stand. Oh my it sure looks beautiful! Of course its now the time of the year when anything green starts to look real good to me. Hope you'll want to sink your teeth into some of this. This week, or next may be one of the last deliveries with any fresh greens for a while.

As the season comes to a close I can't help but to feel the summers blown by in an instant. I had been hopeful this summer-like weather would continue for a while longer. It's been a nice extended warm spell, and its kept most everything alive. Now the forecast for next week looks like this awesome weather will be coming to its end. It was terrific while it lasted, but I guess its time to adjust our senses and our wardrobe to colder times.

I'm planning to continue weekly deliveries until the end of November. I may have to switch to a bi-weekly delivery schedule to get a few things done around here before its gets super cold. I'll keep you updated week by week with any changes to my plans.

Regards to all!
