Last Box of Winter Season

Posted on February 10th, 2020 by Ben Sayler

Hello,

This Saturday is the final delivery of the Winter CSA Season. Thank you very much for sharing in the harvest with us during the cold months! We enjoyed continuing to provide local food for you during the normal 'off' season. Hope you enjoyed it as much as we did (for us it was especially all the FRESH greens)!

In this week's share you will again have large bags of salad and spinach. We are also including alfalfa and broccoli sprouts from our friends at Potomac Sprout Company in Thurmont. They are so delicious and add a nice flavor and texture to most any dish-or eat them by themselves as a snack or side! We also picked up a new apple variety from Catoctin Mnt Orchard called 'Evercrisp'-it is a cross between a Honeycrisp and Fuji. They are very sweet, crisp, and juicy.

Thanks to everybody who has committed to the 2020 CSA. We will continue the customized shares and have plans for the best season yet! Please remember to sign up before March 1st for a $25 credit. Looking forward to the 7th season of Pleasant Hill Produce!

Thanks,

Ben
