new products, including BREAD!

Greetings from the Farm! We sure have been enjoying the perfect fall weather recently. It is so pleasant to be working outside this time of year...not too hot, not too cold, and always a good mix of sun and clouds! We are hoping to get the rain they are calling for this week. Most of our direct seeded crops do not have irrigation and they would love a good drink from mother nature.

Thank you for all the messages and excitement about the season extension! We are happy to keep you going with local food for a while longer. Eating with the local seasons is such an adventure and experience.

We are getting into some new crops and products. We now have our fall cauliflower and broccoli coming in! The flavor is incredible after the cool nights we are getting. We have some disease pressure on the farm and the first plantings completely failed. This is the second planting, and while there was pressure, the plants help up and produces nice heads. Some of the cauliflower has some spotting and yellow color from the sun, but all is good and we are happy to have a crop!

Also new is SOURDOUGH BREAD from Twin Bears Bakery. They attend the farmers market with us and have excellent breads. Andrew is a stand up guy, does a great job, and sources local grains. They are a prime example of local supporting local, which is who and what we all support! Please check them out here https://twinbearsbakery.com/ The loaves are large and will be fresh baked for you. We will start this week with the Classic Loaf. Please add to your share and give it a try.

Apple Chai Kombucha is back and we are fully stocked on all Kombucha and Cheese flavors. New apples including Mountain Honey and Winesap. Other fall favorites available too-sweet and red potatoes, onions, fall squashes, honey, and more! We love this time of year with the shorter days, cooler weather, and hearty warm meals in the kitchen.

As always, thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Much love,

Farmer Ben and the crew at PHP
