Online Farm Stand for Thursday Nov 18th and Saturday Nov 20th

Posted on November 14th, 2021 by Kim Barker

Hi farm friends,

The first snow has arrived and we continue to eat from our field! We are most impressed so far with our salad mix greens, which we have never had growing this late in the season. They are beautiful and holding up very well so far under the floating row cover which protects them from frost. Alongside these greens, we also have an abundance of carrots, cabbages, fennel, garlic, and watermelon winter radish - with a splash of some other items as well.

If you aren't able to pick up on Thursday or Saturday, we can always arrange for you to pick up on Friday or even another day. Just let us know, we're flexible and want to get our food to you.

We have been doing lots of thinking and planning for next year. We are thinking about how to bring more local products for you to order - right now, we are working with Glengyle Farm to have their whole pasture raised chickens available. Perhaps a "chicken share" where you get one or two whole birds a season. We'd also like to find a way to offer fresh fruit and bread. If you have any ideas for what you'd like to be able to order, or know of any local producers we should get in touch with, please let us know!

Thanks for your support - and happy eating!

Your farmer,

Kim
