Online Farm Stand for Thursday Nov 11th and Saturday Nov 14th Pick Up

Posted on November 8th, 2021 by Kim Barker

Hi farm friends!

Gorgeous fall weather keeps on allowing us to get a lot done on the farm. Last week, we took soil samples all around the field. We also began to clean up our old kale patch, cutting off the plants just above the ground. We leave the roots inside the ground because they continue to benefit the microorganisms in the soil throughout the winter and will break down naturally.

Available this week - we continue to have gorgeous salad mix which is living under row cover in the field. Let's see if it makes it past the snows and cold weather that we may have approaching soon. Our fall carrots are even sweeter now since the frost, and we have over 100lbs! These last forever in the fridge stored in a plastic bag, so you can stock up. I've added a 5lb bulk bag of carrots for $15. Our green and red cabbages also store amazingly well in the fridge. We've also got the last of our parsnips and kohlrabi, tons of fennel and garlic, tiny yellow onions and some lovely red onions. And maybe some things I've forgotten! Check out our offerings here: https://www.harvie.farm/farm/mulberry-moon-farm/shop

Don't forget, our self-serve farm store is also open during the week Thursday-Sunday 10-6.

Thanks for the support!

Your farmer,

Kim
