August is here, and with it mid summer. I can really hardly believe it. It's been a challenging month trying to fit in all our fall crops amongst all the rain we've had recently. We're in our final push to get everything done. August is a month on the farm where you have to pause, take a deep breath, and plunge forward. Still lots to do, but there is a shift on the wind and change is coming on the horizon.
Veggie Highlights
We've got our biggest haul of carrots this week! Cherry tomatoes and regular tomatoes are still trickling in. They'll continue to ramp up as the weeks go on. We have gorgeous bell peppers and we'll be harvesting some green ones until they begin to ripen. We've got beautiful eggplants comingin. Our zucchinis and cucumbers are beginning to slow down but we still have lots this week! We've still got plenty of lovely green and red mini cabbages too. Dill, jalapenos, and cayenne peppers are available for add-ons this week. It's a good time of year on the farm for veggies.
