LAST DELIVERY! We are so thankful.

Posted on September 30th, 2023 by Katherine Nietmann

Thank you so much for such a fruitful season!  It went off without a hitch, and we truly hope you loved the produce.  We sure love growing and sharing it with you!

  • If you ARE NOT joining us for our Fall CSA, please join us in early 2024 to resume ordering from our online store!  We will offer fresh greens and storage crops to keep you sane and healthy every week through the winter.  You are automatically on our email list to receive emails about winter ordering.
  • PLEASE RETURN any CropBoxes you have at home.  No questions asked; we just need the boxes.  Thanks!

We have a few NEW crops on offer this week: fingerling potatoes that just came out of the ground and look stellar, daikon radishes, which are HUGE as you can see in the picture, and delicata squash, which is a perennial favorite.  Feel free to stock up and store your favorites!

We'll leave you with a great way to use BEETS in your house:

Flatbreads, tortillas, or bread of your choice

Sharp cheddar

Walnut Pate (recipe follows)

Steamed beets (sliced 1/4" thick and steamed until tender)

Spread the walnut pate on your bread, layer on cheese and beet slices and enjoy!

Walnut Pate:

2 cups walnuts

1/2 bunch parsley, lower stems removed

2 cloves garlic

1 dried hot chile or 1tsp hot chile flakes

juice of 1 lemon

1/2 teaspoon salt

Mix everything in a food processor until smooth.  Keep covered in the fridge for about 1 week.

Wishing you all a happy, healthy fall,

Katherine, Spencer and Crew (Nick, Nicole, Rachel, Judy and Bergen)
