Happy midsummer, everyone!
Right on schedule, we are swimming in gorgeous tomatoes and basil. We have 10lb boxes available of firm ripe heirloom tomatoes and paste tomatoes. These are available as "extras" for $40/box. We also have 1lb bags of top quality basil available as "extras" as well. Finally, we have 5lb boxes of cherry tomatoes that are perfect for drying. It's never too early to start putting up tomato sauce! (Visit www.moosemeadoworganic.com/recipes for our household's favorite roasted tomato sauce recipe!). Unfortunately we are short on spring mix, spinach and arugula again this week due to squirrel damage. The greens will be back next week!
