Week 17 Update - WE NEED YOUR CROPBOXES!!!!!

Posted on September 18th, 2021 by Katherine Nietmann

WE ARE SHORT ON CROPBOXES.  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE RETURN THEM TO US IF YOU HAVE SOME IN YOUR HOUSE.  THANK YOU!!!!

Welcome to Week 17!  There are two weeks left in the summer CSA, including this one.  The first Fall CSA delivery is Wednesday October 6th.

This week we unveil some coveted fall crops: spaghetti squash, cured garlic, cured onions, a fresh crop of celery and komatsuna, and a brand new crop for us: broccoli microgreens!  With a new season upon us, our farm feels fresh, new and exciting again (not that summer gets dull; it's too busy to get dull!).  Our high tunnels are still filling up, and with mild temps luxury accommodations, the crops we're planting in them are growing quickly before our eyes.

You can expect the same crop availability this week and next.  We recommend you soak up all of the summer crops we have to offer while you still can (we're looking at you peppers, eggplant and tomatoes!).  But also remember that komatsuna and celery make an awesome stir fry with snacking peppers and cherry tomatoes.  It's the best time of year for fusion-season cooking!

Have a great week and enjoy the produce.
