Farm Happenings for July 31, 2023

Posted on July 29th, 2023 by Mike Milsom

So like the potato flower, the farm has begun to blossom.

A hub of activity. Joined today with the the task of weeding is Chris, Sarah and Natalie. They brought so much positive energy and engaging smiles.  The difference that all makes is unmeasurable and gratefully received.

The tomotillos and tomatoes, eggplant are all flowering abundantly as well. The first of the patti pans will soon be in sufficient number to share and the next round of lettuce is filling out the bed nicely.

The weather yesterday was not without concern. We prayed that there would still be greenhouses upright in the morning as we hunckered down seeking shelter from the wind and driving rain. Thankfully we were spared and we move forward with a grateful heart.

Fresh corn continues and we add celery to the mix this week.

Enjoy :-)
