July 6th - Week 1- The Great (')scape

Posted on July 3rd, 2021 by Mike Milsom

It feels like we have had an entire season already and our season is really only just beginning. Every farming bone in my body tells me it is going to be a good  one.  Lots of hot weather, some rain now and a group of quality people who have all bonded together over one purpose: Growing with heart and soil. Nice :-)

For those of you that are new to this experience, you will get a letter every week sharing some of the goings on at the farm..though often or not there is a story or two included. Attatched is the share we have built for the upcoming week. It is a descent first week but barely a glimpse of what is to come.

We are doing delivery a bit differently ..the result of many years of trying out various strategies. I think we have a winner. Practical, eco and vegetable friendly. we are going to use a system of reusable grocery bags for each customer.  We recommend you put out a cooler with ice packs in it to keep your vegetables cool on a warm night. We have two sets of bags for everyone so we are asking that you put out the previous weeks bag so we can refill it for you :-)

There will be a longer email being sent to everyone with some good information and I would encourage you to read it. But we were anxious to get this share built and to give you time to customize it should you wish. The deadline to finalize your choices is tomorrow (Sunday) by 4pm.

Looking forward to either getting to see you or getting to deliver to your door :-)

Don't let go of the rope...  the season is off and running.
