Two more winter shares remain...it's hard to believe that we've nearly reached the end of the 'winter' CSA season. I am not exaggerating when I say that spring on the farm is a bit of a rollercoaster ride. Once the spring switch is flipped, it's go time. There are so many crops to get in the ground as soon as the weather breaks (which is part of the excitement of the ride), and we're constantly planting and bed prepping around the notoriously unpredictable spring rains.
So it goes...like that spring saying that has a way of popping into my head this time of year, every year...."April showers bring May flowers!" And, it's true. So we keep planting, planting, planting, knowing that come July we'll be battling weeds and harvesting through a heat wave.
