Farewell Tomatoes...

Posted on September 11th, 2022 by Brittany Reardon

We're bidding the tomatoes farewell after a short (but somewhat sweet) season. If you'd like to pick any tomatoes free of charge please stop by the farm this week and pick whatever you'd like. We can show you where to go when you get here. There's both red and cherry tomatoes out there that are still good for eating or preserving. In particular the red grape tomatoes, sungold cherries, and the big beef red tomatoes are the best looking.

As the saying goes, "when one door closes, another opens". What a great way to describe seasonal eating! When one crop is finished, another begins. Baby butternuts (a sweet variety called Honeynut) are on the list this week, along with a brand new planting of parsley, and our own greens mix and arugula!

If you plan to come pick please bring your own containers between the hours of 8:30 am and 6 pm, anytime Monday - Friday this week. Hope to see you!!
