Melons are ripening, and Carrots are back!

It seems some folks are having issues with swapping items. We'd love to hear from you if you're having trouble swapping items in your share so we can be in touch with Harvie to determine what exactly is happening. Please reach out to us via email with details of the trouble you're having and we'll do our best to get it fixed!

Melons are in this week. We have a few different types in the field, cantaloupe and watermelon. You should see these on the list for a couple of weeks, possibly longer depending on how the second planting fares. All the cucurbits (squash family) have been hit hard with disease at this point in the season.

Melon Varieties:

Sugar Baby - seeded, sweet, red watermelon ***these are in shares this week

Farmers' Wonderful - seedless, very sweet, red watermelon

Savor - Charentais variety, sweet/aromatic with deep orange flesh ***in shares this week

Divergent - standard cantaloupe, sweet, orange flesh ***in shares this week

If you'd like to pick some husk cherries when you come out to get your share, we have plenty! Just bring a container and we'll show you where to go to pick.

That's all for this week. Eat well and be well! Looking forward to seeing you soon!
