Farm Stand Offering!

Posted on December 31st, 2021 by Sheila Dicks

Planning for tomatoes and other summer crops begins many weeks before the seedlings are planted! My favorite part is deciding which variety of tomatoes we will plant! Of course there are a few favorites we plant each year like Persimmon, Cherokee Purple, German Johnson and Beefsteak. Over the last couple years we have been trialing a couple new varieties of hybrids for their disease/insect resistant and productivity. Finding ones with really good taste is the challenge and this year we will be trying Atkinson (developed at Auburn University) and a Japanese variety Tomimaru Muchoo. Tomatoes season will be here before we know it and we can't wait for you to try them and give us some feedback.

Thank you for being part of our farm family!
