Happy Fourth of July everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful day celebrating this great country of ours. I only have one little vegetable related matter to share with you. It is about cucumbers. In addition to green cucumbers, we grow a variety called "mini white", which looks like this:
The keys are there to give you a sense of scale. The flower is there to give you an idea of what a sensitive and artistic fellow I am.
So if you get a small, whitish- pale yellow object in your share, that's what it is. It's my personal favorite, but doesn't yield quite like the green ones. We also have a few red beets this week and some fennel, along with the usual suspects for the first week of July.
