Farm happenings for Week of July 5th

Posted on July 6th, 2021 by Kelly Morris

PICK UP HOURS: Pickup hours this week and every week are Thursday 3pm-7pm, Friday 11am-7pm and Saturday 9am-1pm. Despite what day you chose when signing up for your share, you are welcome to come during any of our open hours. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before closing to give yourself time to gather your veggies.

FARM UPDATE: As more and more crops come in, we'll have small quantities of several items available. To make sure the folks who want these crops get them, we're not putting them in shares automatically so make sure you log in to see what's available for swapping!

Blueberries are still coming in strong! There is a gate in the netting at the corner closest to the barn. Look for the pink streamers. Please wear closed toed shoes in the blueberry field and keep an eye out for poison ivy around the base of bushes. There's not much in there and we've been doing our best to eradicate it, but poison ivy is persistent.

We're harvesting garlic this week! After harvest, we lay it out on tables to cure in the barn for about a month. Look for garlic to be available in shares in August!

EXTRAS: This week we have eggs, mushrooms and juice available to purchase as one-time "extras".

See you soon!

Your farmers,
Katie, Elizabeth, Brad, Christina, Kelly, Matt and Nate
