Farm happenings for Week of June 28th

Posted on June 28th, 2021 by Kelly Morris

Happy Independence Day!

PICK UP HOURS: We are operating on normal pickup hours this week: Thursday 3pm-7pm, Friday 11am-7pm and Saturday 9am-1pm. Despite what day you chose when signing up for your share, you are welcome to come during any of our open hours. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before closing to give yourself time to gather your veggies.

NOT RECEIVING EMAILS: If you haven't been receiving the customization email on Tuesdays, check your spam/junk folder. Its possible your email provider is moving it there because its an automatically generated email. To prevent this, add support@harvie.farm to your email address book.

FARM UPDATE: The Pick Your Own field is flourishing! We have about 180 shareholders coming to the farm each week and the PYO is open to all, so be mindful when picking to only take what you'll use that week so we can make sure there's plenty for everyone. Look for the name signs to know what you can pick. If a crop isn't ready to be picked yet, it won't have a sign in front of it. We will also try to keep the chalkboard in the distribution area updated with what crops are ready in the PYO.

Blueberries are here! There is a gate in the netting at the corner closest to the barn. Look for the pink streamers. Please wear closed toed shoes in the blueberry field and keep an eye out for poison ivy around the base of bushes. There's not much in there and we've been doing our best to eradicate it, but poison ivy is persistent.

EXTRAS: This week we have eggs, bread, coffee and juice available to purchase as one-time "extras".

See you soon!

Your farmers,
Katie, Elizabeth, Brad, Christina, Kelly, Matt and Nate
