We'll take a few hours off for Mother's Day, and use part of this beautiful Spring weather to prepare for the week's markets and Distributions. (Happy Mother's Day!)
The Summer CSA Distributions begin this week and Both Allen Street Farmers Market is outdoors and the Market on the Grand is open on River Street in Grand Ledge. The parking will be restricted at Allen Street and I would ask for CSA Members and the customers at large for input so I can make adjustments before we get too far into the Summer season! If you just can't make it for pick up and purchase, I will arrange for a home delivery later.It will be relatively warm but we'll have some big coolers on board for food safety.
Our large selection of starter plant sales will be available beginning this week. The plants are all started in our nursery from certified organic or at least untreated seed and are grown in Certified Organic Soil. Any fertilization and amendments are also NOP approved. If you are not quite ready to go with the growing season, bring me a list and we'll prepare your order and hold it in our nursery until you give me the word!
This week I am at the Family Fare parking lot on Wednesday in Eaton Rapids at 12:00 noon, and the Allen Street outdoor Market, 2:30-6:30 after that. Thursday afternoon is farm pick up, and Saturday we are in Grand Ledge for the Market on the Grand on River Street, 9:00-1:00.
