Saturday, April 24 is the last Winter/ Spring distribution for the Grand Ledge CSA. There is no distribution on May1, The last day for everyone else is Wednesday/ Thursday, April 28 & 29. Summers CSA distribution begins on Wednesday, May 5.
For those of you who want to sign up and pay in full in order to earn the 10% discount for Summer Membership in Harvie, you will be charged for 2 deliveries at sign up. (example: a family size share at $25.00 is $50.00, and the second delivery is paid ). In My Profile, click on Payment Details and select Pay Off My Balance. The computer will notify me and I will authorize the discount/ credit.
This week ushers in a new challenge for me as I have not had to manage so many transplants and transplants in waiting for the coming 5 day temperature drop. Even the cabbage and kales cannot handle 25 degree temps!
Also note that we have less than 50 pounds of storage onions left, so I will offer bunches of new Green Onions a little earlier than normal. They are still a little small, but the fresh onion taste is amazing!
This week I am the Family Fare parking lot on Wednesday in Eaton Rapids at 12:00 noon, and the Allen Street indoor Farmers Market after that, 3:00-6:00. Thursday afternoon is farm pick up. Saturday I am at the parking lot behind Flour Child Bakery in Grand Ledge, 11:00 - 12:00 noon.
