No more prolonging the inevitable... :)

Posted on October 14th, 2022 by Stacey Taggart

It’s been another beautiful fall and the warm temperatures have last longer than expected... much longer! This is the latest we’ve had a freeze since we’ve started farming/gardening, and talking to other farmers in the area, they seem to say the same. But we knew it would happen eventually and this past week it did, getting down to 27.5 degrees. We protected many crops with frost fabric to extend it a bit, but we can't prolong the inevitable forever! Many crops don't mind the cooler temps, and even getting yummier, like lettuce and other greens!  So look for them in the offerings this week plus potatoes, beets, and turnips are back.  Don't forget the Early Bird signup window being open until the 22nd. :)
