Farm Happening for Summer #11

Posted on August 20th, 2021 by Stacey Taggart

We sang (and danced!) in the rain late last week!!  We could always use more but we're very grateful for what moisture we were able to get. ;)  We're wrapping up some projects on the farm so we can be geared up and ready for fall.  We'll be putting up 3 new high tunnels this fall so we have our work cut out for us.  We're super excited about it though because we'll be able to have a dedicated broccoli house!  As our summer shares are winding down, we have lots of summer time veggies to eat our way through.  The garden has found her stride and it's all we can do to keep up with harvesting those things that are ripe and ready.  Not a bad problem to have!  Haha!   New Offering this week!  TOMATILLO PEPPER SAUCE. Just a kick of spice but not too much.  Tasty roasted tomatillos and roasted peppers combined with cilantro, lime juice, and honey.  SO delicious and the recipe will be in this weeks' newsletter.  Delicious spooned over tacos, burritos, beans and rice, anything south of the border.
