Farm Happenings for Wk 44, Oct.29, 2018

Posted on October 15th, 2018 by Sarah Rider

The last major planting of the season is happening this week: garlic. Or maybe it is the first planting for next season. Either way you look at it, about 8500 individual cloves are due to get tucked in the ground, covered with a bed of mulch, and grow into the 2019 garlic crop to harvest next July. There appears to be a narrow window where the ground might be dry enough early this week.

In the same spirit of planting now for harvest next year, we will begin CSA renewals for 2019 at the end of the week. Stay tuned!
