What’s in the Box?

The radish flood has arrived, as promised.  Please try these with butter on toast, throw them on the BBQ with olive oil, and include them in your next egg or potato salad.  They are a crunchy gifts from spring.

The microgreens are in their glory and should be scattered over all of your meals.  They elevate EVERYTHING, from eggs to pizza to pasta to sandwiches.  BAM, Instagram worthy meals all over the place.

Coming up soon NOW: the first bit of arugula and green garlic

Coming up a soon: bok choi, mini romaine heads, turnips and cilantro

Planted but growing oh-so-slowly: beets, carrots, raab, fennel, kohlrabi, broccolini, and SNAP PEAS!

On the Farm

I keep reminding myself this insanely beautiful sunshine won't last, and I have not given in to any spring maddness and planted things I shouldn't (I hope you can say the same).  Last year on April 19th we got a snow storm.  Let's all cross our collective fingers that we don't have a repeat, and let's savour these next few days before the real April returns.

We've been taking advantage of the dry and warm and planted 600 row feet of sugar snap peas, lots of lettuce, sweet onions, more bok choi, kohlrabi, fennel, another round of broccolini, carrots, and all the green goodness you expect from us.

We also welcomed Carly onto our team.  She is just fitting right in, and cares about all the important food and environment things we care about.  I'm so glad she found us.  WELCOME CARLY!

Happy eating until next time,

Farmer Tamara
