Farm Happenings for June 4, 2020

Posted on May 29th, 2020 by Tamara McMullen

Good afternoon veggie lovers!

Can you believe it?  We’ve come to the end of our spring CSA; this will be your final pick up.

I’m grateful to each of you for participating.  I hope you’ve enjoyed it, and that you haven’t felt utterly overwhelmed by all of the green things on offer.  I find my body craves spring greens, but at this point I sure am craving cucumbers (coming soon!).

If you haven’t signed up for the summer CSA, but wish you had, we’ve opened up a few last spots.  You can register here:

Garden Like a Professional: Is your garden getting too full?  Consider trellising your tomatoes and other hot crops to keep them from sprawling and taking over.  Here’s a great article on the different ways to trellis tomatoes.  You can use the basket weave method described here on peppers and eggplants, and you can use the stake and wire, or stake and netting methods for your cucumbers.

That’s it for now, happy eating until next time!
