We can barely believe it: our Summer CSA is now sold out! If you’ve joined us, thank you! If you haven’t, not to worry, we’ll still be delivering veggies to Shanahan’s quality meats in Goderich, and we’ll also be launching an online store. We will provide the link next week.
Also, some of you have been asking about seedlings. We’ll have lots available and will include them on the online store for on-farm pick up in the 3rd and 4th week of May.
On the farm:
It’s awfully cold and things are growing fairly slowly, however, we are delighted with our greenhouses where our 300 bell pepper plants have now joined several hundred tomatoes of all shapes, sizes and colors.
This is driest spring we’ve ever seen, and we’ve irrigated all of our plantings over the last few days. I’m not complaining though, we are grateful to be able to irrigate, and thrilled that we can get into the field so easily. Last year our fields were just about flooded and it was impossible to get plantings in on time. I much prefer this!
