Thankful for Rain!

Posted on May 29th, 2021 by Angela Bedient

We hope you are enjoying a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.  Although it's been cool for a couple of days, we are oh so thankful for the rain.  We are beginning to have a few more selections, LIKE CARROTS and BABY BEETS!, so be sure to set your preferences for any and all items you'd like to see in your box.  We are also having a sale on the Lettuce Mix as well as offering it in a 10 oz. container!  Be sure to customize your order, let us know if you'll leave a cooler and we will happily deliver Wednesday!  Thank you all so much!

Check out a note from Tim and Marie at Bountiful Meadows!!!

What a nice rain we had!  Although it made for a miserable few days, the crops should really enjoy it! Now for a couple of days of sunshine!

A little update on the crops.  We have picked the first cherry tomatoes, so look for that offering in the next few weeks!  Also this rain should help the asparagus that was suffering from the dry weather.  We still have plenty of lettuce, Swiss chard, and Spring Onions.  The slugs also like our radish, which is why we have a limited supply.  We have a patch of kale just starting.  Strawberries are starting to size up, but we only have a small patch so don't know how many will make it into the Harvie Boxes.  Maybe you will just have to come to our farm stand to enjoy them!  Another thing to watch for is cucumbers, they are starting to size up as well!

Hope you enjoy the boxes as much as we enjoy getting them together!
