Farm News for January 29, 2022

Posted on January 26th, 2022 by Teresa Kurtak

Hello Everyone,

We've decided to do a soft launch of our Farmstand and CSA Registration this weekend.  It's the Winter folks, so keep that in mind when you look at what's available...

Other news:

Hope y'all had a lovely Holiday and either have recovered from Covid or managed to avoid it ;)  For those of you who were CSA members last year and are already set to auto-renew you have a few more hours to edit your shares before we run your credit cards.  You can still change things after the fact, but it's easier in advance of payment ;)  For those of you who weren't CSA members, or hadn't selected auto-renew, the 2022 CSA Season is open for registrations now.  Egg shares aren't listed as there's a long waitlist and we are going to be re-distributed unclaimed rollover shares from last year based on that list.

We join forces with a few other local producers- City Bees Honey, Markegard Grass-fed, Steadfast Herbs, and Pesky Bagels.  To simplify those relationships these things are no longer add on shares that you sign up for when you register.  For beef you will sign up directly with the Markegards (beef delivery is only available for Thursday pick up locations).  For honey, herbs, and bagels, the items will be listed as extras when you customize your weekly CSA share so you can purchase them as add on's week to week at will.

You can register for the 2022 CSA Season HERE: https://www.harvie.farm/farm/fifth-crow-farm/signup

We're definitely still in Winter mode here at Fifth Crow, so sorry if you haven't heard from us much, but things will start picking up soon.  We should be sowing tomatoes in the greenhouse next week!  The flower sowings also start in the next 2 weeks, and we're closing in on finishing up our 2022 Crop Plan.  Stay healthy and we'll be in touch soon :)
