Mother's Day Gifts? We have a couple ideas

Posted on April 28th, 2021 by Teresa Kurtak

Mother's Day is approaching and as always our ranunculus are starting to slow just in time... We will hold back on our wholesale offerings to make sure and offer more direct to our customers, but if the Mother in your life is far away you might think about flowers that are longer lasting.  We've made a few dried floral wreaths and bouquets for the occasion as well.

Only a 3 more weeks till our CSA begins!! Can't believe it's that time again already.  Warning!  We will likely halt our Farmstand offerings once the CSA begins.  If we have excess we will definitely reach out, but we're pretty close to full and we definitely won't have enough product for the first 3 weeks plus to offer beyond the CSA.

Other big news.. By end of next week, we will need to be operating in our new washing and packing facility.  For the last 6 years we have been very lucky to rent a building from our neighbor Pete Vanos (Westland Nursery).  But sadly that time is coming to a close as Pete is shifting towards leasing a greater share of his greenhouses and his tenants would like the use of the building.  Our new facility is on land we lease from Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST).  We started improvements to some existing sheds there last year and it's finally ready for us to move in (kind of).  There's still quite a bit of work to be done and we're still working out lots of logistical details. Having washing and packing happening at a location distant from our fields and current office will be a whole new challenge, but we know lots of other farms have similar situations and we'll just have to roll with punches.
