Farm News for March 13, 2021

Howdy all- The first Spring ground is ready for planting!  That's Lucas Hill one of our full time tractoristas and Sunset market lead in the photo, listing beds in the "Back 40" fields.  Other exciting news... we've found 2 puppies to add to the team.  Henri, our current Livestock Guardian Dog (or LGD if you are in the know) is now over 10 and starting to feel his age.  So we're getting him a couple assistants to help him do the job in his elder years.  No photos or names yet, but we'll be sure to take lots ;)  Our new team members are mostly Pyrenees with a bit of Akbash blood.  They're killer cute fur-balls and are now about 13 weeks. Hopefully we will pick them up next week.  We're a bit worried our kids will just move in with chickens once they arrive...

RANUNCULANZA IS ON!! We are swimming in ranunculas and anemones right now and likely for the next month or so.  Charlie insisted he wanted to make nature paint out of ranuncula petals.  I thought it wouldn't work but humored him and surprise of surprises we ended up with a lovely mauve.
