Howdy CSA Members-

1. Reminder, flower shares don't start till next week.  If you'd like to get flowers this week, you can purchase some as extras.

2. Week 1 down... Week 2 imminent.  We are working out new systems to handle 600+ families that have decided to join this season.  This is a big jump for us.  Our CSA has been around 200 families for many years.  We are doing our best, but please be patient with us as it's a lot to handle in addition to keeping the farm running. (and be persistent if it's urgent ;) )

3. We are excited to welcome to our team a new CSA & Sales Manager- her name is Sammie Raymundo.  Born and raised a Bay Area native in the tiny town of Benicia, CA. Graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA - Art History and a minor in Classic Studies (Archaeology). Before joining Fifth Crow Farm she worked as the Customer Experience Manager for a San Francisco brewery. During that time she was exposed to many great chefs and restaurants which sparked her interested in finding out more about where our food comes from and a wants to celebrate our farmers! Other interests include (but are not limited to) mountain biking, rollerblading, camping and laughing. She looks forward to getting to know you and maybe even meet you in person at your local farmers market!

.... and a special treat if you like this sort of thing... We hired Happy Girl Kitchen this Winter to make us a couple hundred pounds of Sauerkraut- it's full of beneficial micro-organisms to help keep your gut happy.  KEEP IT IN THE FRIDGE!  This is the real deal folks.  It's ready to eat now, but will last for weeks if kept in the fridge. Ingredients: our cabbage, sea salt, black peppercorns, & juniper berries.  If you'd prefer not to get it in your box, just swap it out :)
