Changing of the seasons

Posted on October 20th, 2019 by Heather Coffey

I always love seeing the contents of your boxes changing with the seasons. We've got the return of many winter favourites from watermelon radishes to french fingerling potatoes as well as the last tastes of summer with beans, peppers and eggplant on offer this week. Our carrots have now had three gentle frosts, can you taste them sweetening up?

It's hard to believe it's the last week of summer veggie bags. It has been wonderful feeding you all this season, we hit a record 219 families who have kept us busy harvesting and packing them up twice a week. You get a bit of a break to eat through anything leftover in your fridge as our winter box deliveries (more info as you click through the registration page) start the second week of November. We'll be busy in the meantime bringing the rest of our crops into storage safe for the winter!

I'll be sending out a general season wrap up e-mail to all of you shortly with some fun facts and a short survey to help us make next year even better, thank you again for enjoying a season of tastiness with us and we look forward to feeding you again soon :)
