The Strawberries are Finally HERE...But....

Posted on June 27th, 2019 by Featherstone Farm

It's been a tough week in weather at the farm, with torrential rains over the weekend and still no sun in sight.  So while we had a huge harvest of berries planned for this week's box, we lost a lot of fruit due to the storms.  Jack has written a letter that you'll find in your boxes to further explain, but I also wanted to note here that, while some member boxes didn't get a full quart of berries this week, we are anticipating another week of harvest with more berries to come (fingers crossed no more storms undo that good intention!).  At any rate, we do hope you enjoy our strawberries this week!

Due to last minute changes in harvest (again, weather related) this week and, most likely, other weeks ahead, we now plan to send this email ("Your Box is On Its Way"), which functions as your pickup reminder email, on Tuesday mornings.  Please make sure to set alerts on your phone, mark you calendars, whatever you find works best to remind yourself to pick up your box...thank you for your help with this!

Below are a few photos from the Strawberry Social this year. It was a great time for all of us at the farm to connect with so many of our members, so thanks again for coming out!  If you weren't able to make it, we hope to see you next year!

Gratefully,

Patty and the Featherstone Crew
