[CSA Update] Welcome to week 6

I love my job. Most people resist change. Frankly, most people fight change as if it will be worse than what they are experiencing now. They know the pain of where they are now. When I look at my life, I look at the future - and I know that what it takes to turn that into reality, I have to take the initiative today. Yes, the fields got knocked. Will it be easy - no. 85% of people go to jobs they hate. People spend day in and day out just spending time. I love my farm. I love growing food and flowers. I face life's whirling wind of change, and I know I will learn something and move forward.
Eggplant loves the heat. It takes everything that August can throw at it, and it blossoms. The flowers feed the honey bees. The purple globes develop in the heat. With a moderate irrigation schedule, the plants invest in their fruits. Eggplants put everything it has into the game - and it is enough. Eggplant is not loved like strawberries. Eggplant takes work to enjoy it at the table. Many people doubt that they know how to prepare a great meal. Give up your fears with eggplant and let it reach it's potential with you. Make eggplant parmesan. Make planks, grill them, and drizzle milk chocolate on them. Make cheesy pull-apart eggplant with cheese, garlic, basil, and sauce. Cook with courage this week.Trust you will get it right, or you will learn something.
Once you start acting on your dreams, once you start working for what you want, things will start coming together for you. Do what you can with what you have - things will come together for you. The key to it - focus on what you want to do. Give your energy to it. You will grow.
