Farm Happenings for July 29, 2020

Posted on July 26th, 2020 by Andrew Schwerin

We are past the mid-summer peak, and signs of fall are creeping in. Some of the crops will wane - squash and cukes are finishing up, though they had a great run. Eggplants are taking a break but I expect they will have large quantities later in August. Okra is just starting up, as are peppers. We have a planting of cantaloupe that looks really good for mid-August.

We've seeded more cucumbers, squash, and green beans for September. We're also planting more of the quick salad greens and roots as the days get shorter.

There'll be peaches on the extras list, I'm not sure whether they will be coming from A&A in Berryville or Vanzant's in Lowell. But we've had good peaches from both.

Sorry about some mixups last Wed delivery, I'll review the changes more exactingly with the new-ish driver. Pickup *will* be through the left side, the "yoga door".
