Onions, garlic, and leeks oh my! This week was filled with vegetables from the allium family. We have begun processing our dried garlic in the barn, cutting down the dry garlic and sorting the sizes. This has been especially nice because it is an indoor activity that has kept us dry during the rain. We also moved our cured onions from their location drying in the greenhouses to storage in the lower barn.
We are enjoying the transition into fall with cooler days and our fall student farm crew. There have been lots of great conversations among new people while we process garlic. Today we start harvesting winter squash and the farm crew is excited!
