As we approach thanksgiving, the weather has turned and it's cold! Each morning this week the grass was a frosty white and our mornings have been filled with jobs to keep the crew warm, mainly brush clearing and bulk harvests. This week things are slowing down on the farm, and we are prepping for the winter season. Our CSA has gotten smaller and market hours have shortened. We’ve been very lucky with some beautiful sunny days this week too. Daylight savings has also been nice, being able to start the day in some light.... read more »

How’d it get to be November? Coulda sworn that yesterday was mid September. Sure felt like it too, with the afternoons in the mid 60s I found myself in shorts and a t shirt by the afternoon. It’s hard to complain but the unseasonably warm weather is slightly alarming from a farmers perspective... read more »

This week the crew pulled tomato and pepper plants from the fields and greenhouses, getting ready to prep the beds for winter. Harvest has slowed down a bit, making some time for brush work around the farm and processing needs in the lower barn. Market hours changed to 2-5pm this week. Be sure to stop... read more »

This week we had a small crew with lots to do. All our garlic processing since early July has come full circle to putting cloves back in the ground.
