Farm Happenings for June 12, 2020

Posted on June 5th, 2020 by Will Nelson

Hello CSA members!

This week on the farm we have been very busy in the green houses harvesting lots of beautiful leafy greens, carrots, scallions, radishes and turnips! The strawberry fields are constantly ripe with fruit and every member of our crew has noted how much they enjoy starting the day picking through the bushes finding the various shapes that our strawberries are growing in. We have a running contest to see who can find the strangest ones! Otherwise, we have been doing a lot of weeding and preparing the soil for upcoming crops such as tomatoes, summer squash, and cucumber! The storms this week have been kind to us, not doing too much damage to the crops. We loved seeing local faces at this weeks farmer’s market amidst the quarantining and social distancing. Everyone is getting ready and exciting for the big season we have ahead of us. Thank you again for your ongoing support!
