Farm Happenings 5/16/22: The days are warming! / Update from Seven Moon Farm

Posted on May 9th, 2022 by Daybreak Growers Alliance

These are the days we wait for all winter long! As the days warm the seedlings are just waiting to be put in the ground, tomatoes already in the ground and being trellised in greenhouses along with cucumbers!! Spinach and lettuces being harvested and fresh baby beets coming your way, just the start of the delicious farm fresh produce of the season. Enjoy preserved chile sauce from South Paw Farm, dried heirloom beans from Lover's Brook Farm, passata tomato red sauce and chile honey hot sauce from Turtle Rock Farm, and don't forget your basic grocery staples for the week - eggs, cheese, yogurt, bagels, grains, potatoes, carrots, and so much more – let us do the shopping for you.

Update from Seven Moon Farm

Spring seems to have finally sprung in our corner of Montville; the fields are drying out and we are hoping to start planting next week! Our 2022 garlic crop is almost knee high, and the seedling house and cold frame are packed to the gills with plant babes ready to get in the ground. We’re gearing up for a busy second season on the farm, and are so grateful to be working alongside many incredible farmers and producers to fill your Farm Boxes!
