The fall equinox is September 22, the shorter days and cooler nights already noticeable. The week of September 20 is the last delivery of Flower Bouquets, if you've been wanting to add one to your box this is the week to do it! The farms are harvesting fall crops which you'll find in your boxes in the coming weeks. New this week are pie pumpkins, chicory mix and braising mix – along with over 70 other veggies and apples in Farm Boxes – don't forget the protein when you customize, choose from chicken, fish, beef, pork, tofu, black beans and cheese!

Update from Springdale Farm
Summer is winding down but grazing season charges on here at Springdale. With the wet weather this summer, we've been enjoying lush pastures that will hopefully last well into the fall. This summer we've made more cheese than ever and have been happy to have the extra whey for our pigs! We're so grateful for the support of Daybreak Growers Alliance and all you wonderful customers! I've really gotten a kick out of the number of folks I meet at events and hear "Hey, I've had your products in my share!" It warms my heart, a special hello to customers we met this past weekend at the Maine Cheese Festival!
