Farm Happenings for 10/20/2020: Update from Springdale Farm

Posted on October 14th, 2020 by Daybreak Growers Alliance

As the days are darkening, the weather cooling, and we're all spending more time indoors, what better way to spend your time than cooking healthy nourishing meals with your Daybreak shares. Roasted vegetables are a simple way to incorporate all of the root veggies into your meals, dice, toss with olive oil, salt and pepper and herbs of your liking, pop in a 400° oven and roast until tender - delicious! Daybreak offers Local and Organic Meat and Chicken shares to fill out your menu and some Extra meat items you can add to your vegetable shares and if you love to bake we have locally grown and milled grains. Don't forget the cheese from our artisan cheese makers, Cheese Shares or selections in the Extras section are always available. Enjoy your shares and the quickly changing seasons and stay safe!

Update from Springdale Farm

We have been so very happy to share our meats and cheese with you this season and I'm so heart warmed every time we bump into Daybreak members in the community!  Thank you so much!  It has really meant the world to us during this extremely unpredictable climate to have a steady customer like Daybreak.

As for farm life we, it has certainly been a whirlwind season. Grazing season is winding down and we've been scurrying around doing fall work, seeding down a few pastures for the cows to enjoy next season and wrapping up projects before temperatures start to plummet. Expect to see some fun seasonal cheeses from us in the coming weeks as the holidays begin to roll around. Thank you again for your support!
