Week 19
Our fall greens are coming along and we'll be able to harvest the first of things this week for the CSA! We are feeling a little bit relieved with the break in the heat. Several different crops were scheduled to get planted this past week, however, we needed to delay planting due to the unseasonable temperatures and the lack of rain in the recent past. The fall planting will resume this week with more reasonable temperatures and some much needed rain. New this week, we'll be including parsley, baby fennel, sun gold tomatoes and baby head lettuce in our inventory. After a long summer with a lack of green things from the farm in our diet, the reappearance of green things in the field is a welcome sight.
