Farm Happenings for February 9, 2023

Garlic is getting close and loving this warmer weather, hoping to start picking some soon. Onions won't be far behind that as Spring approaches, and we are prepping more ground for all of our spring plants that will be here in early to mid March. We typically plant out tomatoes, squash, and cucumbers around March 10th, but occasionally if the forecast doesn't look to chilly I will try to get a jump and plant a week or two before that. If you are wondering my success rate on early planting I would have to say I'm about 50/50! When it works its great, but when ya get burned by the frost it can be a bit depressing. These Spring like days sure have been nice, but it looks like some rainy cold days ahead. We will keep pushing everything we have to get more options in your boxes, and I certainly appreciate everyone hanging in there with us and supporting us through this transition period of seasons.
