Happy New Year to everyone and also Happy new CSA season! I want to apologize for last week being an off week, I don't remember telling Harvie that I wanted to skip the week after Christmas but apparently I did in December 2021. We fixed that so we will have a full year of boxes this year. The cold knocked back some varieties that we weren't able to cover, like the Chard in the picture, hoping most of it will come back with this warmer weather. We did get around 4 inches of rain last week so its been a muddy mess out there but it isn't stopping us from planting out new crops. Hard to believe but I am also already working on our Spring Farm plan!

About the farm
Covey Rise Farms is located in Husser, LA just north of New Orleans in central Tangipahoa Parish and is part of the Covey Rise Sportsman's Retreat. The farm started growing vegetables on 10 acres in 2009 and has expanded to over 60 acres at present. The farm not only grows multiple varieties of over 30 types of vegetables, but in recent years has added fruit trees and flowers. Our produce is enjoyed at various types of restaurants in New Orleans and surrounding areas, from the finest restaurants to quaint neighborhood cafes and everything in between and by our local produce/CSA members.
