You win some and you lose some, luckily we were able to pull this tractor out pretty easily! We were trying to beat the rain and this plot was still a bit muddy at the end of it, I only had about 4 rows left to pull up and I would have been done for the day. Two hours later I washing the mud off of myself and this tractor, that is how it goes sometimes. We are starting to see a few items coming back and few others slowing down but overall I think everyone has been happy with their boxes. I look at the extended forecast every few days, waiting for that first cool front but, I am thinking I need to just quit looking and then maybe it will show up! Speaking of showing up, we will be getting Kale, Chard, and Collard plants in this week! We will get them in the ground asap and hopefully be able to pick some in late September.

About the farm
Covey Rise Farms is located in Husser, LA just north of New Orleans in central Tangipahoa Parish and is part of the Covey Rise Sportsman's Retreat. The farm started growing vegetables on 10 acres in 2009 and has expanded to over 60 acres at present. The farm not only grows multiple varieties of over 30 types of vegetables, but in recent years has added fruit trees and flowers. Our produce is enjoyed at various types of restaurants in New Orleans and surrounding areas, from the finest restaurants to quaint neighborhood cafes and everything in between and by our local produce/CSA members.
