Happy Mardi Gras to everyone! We have some beautiful purple and gold cauliflower that is getting close, my goal was to have it for Mardi Gras week but it is not quite ready. Warmer weather is here for a bit and everything is growing great, hoping we can get a few cooler nights but it wouldn't hurt my feelings if we didn't get another frost. Tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, and a few other plants will be going in the ground in the first week of March, with that said, it does take a few weeks before we will see any production from them. I checked onions and garlic again yesterday, getting very close, thanks for being patient! I hope everyone has a safe and joyful Mardi Gras.

About the farm
Covey Rise Farms is located in Husser, LA just north of New Orleans in central Tangipahoa Parish and is part of the Covey Rise Sportsman's Retreat. The farm started growing vegetables on 10 acres in 2009 and has expanded to over 60 acres at present. The farm not only grows multiple varieties of over 30 types of vegetables, but in recent years has added fruit trees and flowers. Our produce is enjoyed at various types of restaurants in New Orleans and surrounding areas, from the finest restaurants to quaint neighborhood cafes and everything in between and by our local produce/CSA members.
