I wanted to highlight one of our farms that we have been doing business with for a good while. Salad Days Produce from Flora, MS is our supplier of hydroponic lettuces and greens. The picture above really doesn't do their green houses justice. Not only is it beautiful inside with everything growing, but it is the cleanest facility I have ever been in! Jamie and Leigh do a wonderful job with their pesticide-free greens they supply almost year around, to the point to where I don't even grow field salad mix anymore because everyone, including Chefs, prefer their product! We hope yall enjoy those salad greens in you box! It has been a wet and muddy week on the farm but looks like drier weather is on the way!

About the farm
Covey Rise Farms is located in Husser, LA just north of New Orleans in central Tangipahoa Parish and is part of the Covey Rise Sportsman's Retreat. The farm started growing vegetables on 10 acres in 2009 and has expanded to over 60 acres at present. The farm not only grows multiple varieties of over 30 types of vegetables, but in recent years has added fruit trees and flowers. Our produce is enjoyed at various types of restaurants in New Orleans and surrounding areas, from the finest restaurants to quaint neighborhood cafes and everything in between and by our local produce/CSA members.
